La diffusion des quotidiens est élevée ( Sun: 4 millions ; Telegraph: 1 million) et la plupart d'entre eux publient une édition ‘week-end’ extrêmement populaire. Les États-Unis ne comptent pas véritablement de quotidien national (sauf USA Today), mais chaque grande ville a ses propres journaux ( Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Washington Post, etc.).
